Mission Support

At Hildenborough we recognise that we are part of the worldwide Church that serves Jesus Christ. One of the things he told his Church to do was to take the news of God’s love to the whole world so that people from every nation would be his followers. We seek to play our part in this by supporting people and organisations we know who are doing this, some in our local area and others much further away on the other side of the world. Our support mainly comprises praying for them and helping them financially.

At St. John’s we work to support those organisations who are seeking to serve God outside the parish. This is led by the Mission Support Committee (MSC), which meets six times a year. Committee members have personal contact with our mission partners on a monthly basis. Please see below for further information on the organisations we support. Our support is financial as well as prayer and encouragement. Our vicar is an ex-officio member of the Committee. We are always keen for new members to come on board and join us in this important work.
