Funerals

While we welcome families contacting us at any time for advice, at an early stage, you will need to contact a Funeral Director. We have given you details of a few of our local Funeral Directors below to help you.
The Funeral Director will help you with all the necessary paperwork, be able to give you advice on the type of Funerals available to you, and book the Minister on your behalf.
There are many advantages in having a church service. These include:
- We can accommodate large numbers
- The length of the service is not restricted.
- We are very flexible with regards to the day and time for the service to be held.
- The committal can follow a church service, either a burial in the Church yard at St.John’s or at the Cemetery or the Crematorium.
Christian funerals can be an occasion of both sadness and sometimes great joy.
While we mourn the loss of a loved one, we can rejoice in the promise the Lord gave us. Therefore, we attach great importance to conducting funerals. Should you choose to go ahead with a church service, your details will be passed to us by your Funeral Director. Once received, a member of clergy will contact you, and an appointment will be made for you to meet with us discuss the service details.
All funeral services held by us will include:
- A meeting with the next-of–kin and family members.
- Planning the Funeral Service.
- Conducting of the Funeral Service.
- Follow-up visits to give you help and support following the funeral.
Burial within St. John’s churchyard
If the deceased was resident in Hildenborough, there is the right to be buried in the churchyard or alternatively if there has been a cremation, the ashes can be interred in the area set aside for this.
